Expanding for the future
As an established and accredited supplier of custom-made steel pipe and fittings to the Water Industry, and with a young and enthusiastic management team, we are pleased to announce a new stage of expansion that will take our product range and market share to new levels.
Pipe Lining & Coating have enjoyed another successful year and, to optimise market awareness of our capacity, we exhibited at AWA Ozwater'10 in Brisbane. First and foremost was our display of a new Fusion Bonded Medium Density Polyethylene (FBPE) coating system which was enthusiastically received by our visiting customers. To satisfy Water Industry approval requirements, we are currently testing this FBPE coating to AS4321-2001 and on approval we will seek StandardsMark certification.
This new FBPE coating will allow Pipe Lining & Coating to deliver a product that is equivalent to any existing FBPE coating system, thereby providing an alternative supply source to our Water Industry customers. Timing for approval and product availability will be in the first quarter of 2011.
Pipe Lining & Coating have also sourced a substantial parcel of land near our existing facility in Rutherford, Maitland. This allows for future expansion and an increased market share of major water pipeline projects where FBPE Mild Steel Cement Lined (MSCL) pipe and fittings are specified.
We are proud to have successfully developed a Mobile Centrifugal Cement Mortar Lining Plant. This plant was specifically built to service the cement mortar lining requirements of the twin 1400NB Submarine Pipelines recently constructed as part of the Sydney Desalination Projects water delivery pipeline, a project involving cement mortar lining of 14,742 meters of 1422mm OD x 17.5 Wt pipe x 12 metre lengths. Our plant can cement mortar line pipes ranging from 100NB to 2200NB and meets the most stringent QA requirements and tolerances via an automated batching and product delivery system that satisfies the requirements of AS1281-2001 and ISO 9001-2008.
So if you have a water pipeline to construct, and/or you have an independent supply of bare or coated steel pipes needing cement mortar lining, we can deliver our lining plant to your site, wherever that may be.
